Apple iPhone celebrates its tenth birthday today!

Steve Jobs unveiled the very first iPhone on stage in San Francisco on January 9th 2007.

Today marks the ten year anniversary of that day and the beginning of the smartphone revolution.

Although the iPhone was not the first to combine technology, computing and telephones they were the first to popularise the use of smartphones, and created a wave of competitors along the way.

The iPhone 7 is Apple’s tenth generation of the phone and has grown the company into one of the biggest in the entire world.

First generation iPhones look prehistoric compared to modern smartphones. The original models were available with 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of storage, They ran on 2G mobile networks, had 128MB of memory, and featured a 3.5-inch screen.

Whereas the iPhone 7 Plus comes in 32GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage, 3GB of memory, and a 5.5-inch high definition screen.

But in ten years who knows how outdated the iPhone 7 will be?
