Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has been selected alongside some top personalities to speak at the International Women’s Day.
At the event with the theme ‘Be Bold For Change’ which holds on March 8 at Tauba Hotel, Abuja, Tonto Dikeh, who is the CEO of Tonto Dikeh Foundation will speak on the topic, ‘Importance Of Education In Nigeria.’
The actress who recently separated from her husband is passionate about education of children and her charity, Tonto Dikeh Foundation, has pursued that mandate by assisting children go back to school.
“The great movement continues, Tonto Dikeh Foundation is taking our Children Back To School,” said the actress.
“At the TD Foundation, we are not giving back simply because we enjoy doing what we do. We are giving back because the greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but reveal to them their own.
Education is exactly how we do that.”
She also said that education is key in securing a better future for everyone.
“The next generation needs a leverage to build on, a plan and pivot to achieve dreams,” she said.
“The future is guaranteed with empowering the children of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. We are opportune to affect lives positively to change the orientation of the next generation from cradle stage. In doing this, the project has the initiative to advance the status quo in learning environments by providing educational stationaries, educational scholarships for at least fifty students, building new blocks of classrooms, learning amenities as black boards as well as school uniforms and more.”
